Wilton C. Dozier, passed away April 9, 2014, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
Wilton was born August 19, 1940 in Holmes County, Florida. He was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. He dedicated over 30 years of service to the Tallahassee Police Department; A former President of the Big Bend Police Benevolent Association. He also served for many years as head of security for the Leon County Civic Center.
Mr. Dozier is survived by his wife, Mary Garrett Dozier; Son, Wilton Garret Dozier (Gina); Daughter, Mary Dozier (Dennis Aldridge); Grandchildren, Brielle & Graham Dozier, Vincent & Elise Pallemans; Siblings, Kay Mercer (Jack), Merle Scott, Edsel Dozier (Jean), Martha Moon, Willard Dozier (Sylvia); and many nieces and nephews. ... more
